Palm Sunday: Sunday, April 13, 9:30 am, a worship service including a procession with palms.
We hear God’s call to “stay awake and watch and pray” with Jesus in Holy Week, Thursday, April 17 through Sunday, April 20. Please mark your calendars and join in worship every night, Thursday through Saturday, at 7:00 pm culminating in the Joyous Easter Sunday Festival Worship at 9:30 am! May the Holy Spirit be poured out on you and Good Shepherd as we enter these final days with Jesus and his journey to the cross for you, for me, for all people. Pastor April Ulring-Larson will preach and preside at all services.
HOLY WEEK
Maundy Thursday: Thursday, April 17, 7:00 pm, a worship service with personal absolution, Holy Communion, and stripping of the altar.
Good Friday: Friday, April 18, 7:00 pm, a special jazz worship service. The service is based on James Cone’s book The Cross and the Lynching Tree with musical arrangements by Jon Ailabouni.
Easter Vigil: Saturday, April 19, 7:00 pm, a worship service with the story of faith and the bonfire. The service is preceded by the Holy Fire in the backyard and candlelight procession into the Sanctuary for the worship service.
Easter Sunday: Sunday, April 20, 9:30 am, the Resurrection of Our Lord celebrated with festival worship with Holy Communion.
Easter Potluck Dinner: Sunday, April 20, 11:30 am, cohosted by the EPIC Scholarship Committee and WELCA as a fundraiser for the Mission Assistance Fund and Mission Endowment Fund.
