SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 1:00 – 3:30 p.m. – JOIN DECORAH CHRISTIANS UNITED IN CELEBRATING PRIDE
- All Decorah Christians who support the LGBTQIA+ community are invited to participate in this public witness to God’s welcoming, inclusive love!
- 1:00 p.m. – Brief Prayer Service and sign-making party at Decorah United Church of Christ at 209 W. Broadway. Sign-making supplies and treats provided.
- 2:30 p.m. – Line up for the Pride Parade, starting at Mary Christopher Park on Water Street, and walk together behind a banner proclaiming “God is Love. Love is Love.”
- 3:30 p.m. – Join in the Pride Party in the Park in the Heivly Green Space (near the tennis courts and ball field), featuring food trucks, bouncy houses, games, vendors, and fellowship!
- Decorah Christians United in Celebrating Pride is a joint witness of Decorah Christian congregations/ministries that are openly and explicitly welcoming and affirming of LGBTQIA+ people: Decorah First United Methodist Church, Decorah Congregational United Church of Christ, First Lutheran, Good Shepherd, and Luther College Ministries.
