Adult Forum, January 7, 2018: SET Task Force Discussion
Space Exploration Task Force (SET) led by Megan Buckingham – How do our buildings & spaces help us to serve God and others? How can our buildings & spaces help us serve God and others in new ways? The Space Exploration Taskforce has been asking the congregation these questions, and considering how the answers can help Good Shepherd set priorities for building & property updates and improvements. In October, SET finalized its recommendations and submitted them to the Congregation and Council. The recommendations were published in the December newsletter. Join members of SET for the adult forum on January 7th to learn more about the recommendations ask questions, share thoughts, and talk about next steps
Faith5 Suppers — Sign-up Deadline, January 7, 2018
FAITH5 SUPPERS – Interested in building fellowship and community? Ready to let your heart and mind grow a little in the company of other church members? We are exploring something new at Good Shepherd. A small group gets together in someone’s home 3 times over the course of a few months, to share a light supper and the Faith5 practice (a simple template for conversation and spiritual sharing).
The congregation members who host the suppers provide the meal and lead the group through Faith5. All you have to do is sign up and come: the suppers only take an hour and a half, and you have to eat anyway, right? Several congregation members are hosting Faith5 Suppers during Epiphany. If you’d like to participate, see the signups on the table in the narthex and sign up by January 7. Space is limited because these are small gatherings, but we plan to do more after Easter if there is interest.
