Obituary for Don Berg

Private family graveside services for Rev. Donald L. Berg will be in Union Prairie Cemetery in rural Decorah at a later date with Pastor Amy Larson officiating.  An obituary will be available on the Fjelstul Funeral Home website.

Monday, January 25, 11:00 am (after bell ringing) in the Parking Lot
 
Sunday, January 31, 11:00 am in the Parking Lot
 

If the temperatures are below zero, Parking Lot services will be postponed.

Sunday School and Youth Forum ready to resume in 2021!

Sunday School and Youth Forum are ready to resume in 2021!  Please note the following dates. ALL SS/YF activities will take place at 10:45 am on Sundays on Zoom.  Reminders and links will be sent each week to families.  Children’s Sermons will also be posted to the Good Shepherd YouTube channel twice each month.
 
Once a month, during the Sunday School time at 10:45 am, families with children are invited to worship together with Vicar Kathryn and Pastor Amy via Zoom. We will sing and pray and share in worship activities designed to connect with children. This will be offered in addition to the 9:30am service on YouTube.

CANCELLATION NOTICE for Sunday’s Outdoor Communion Service!

DUE TO PREDICTIONS OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, SUNDAY’S 11:00 a.m. OUTDOOR SERVICE WITH HOLY COMMUNION HAS BEEN CANCELLED. See below for information about receiving communion from Pastor Amy on Sunday and the Zoom Youth Forum.

10:30 a.m. – ZOOM YOUTH FORUM

  • Youth Forum (grades 7-12) will meet via Zoom, since the Outdoor Worship Service is cancelled due to inclement weather.
  • The Zoom link is in the reminder email sent to all participants.

11:00 a.m. – Good Shepherd’s West Door – PASTOR AMY WILL OFFER IN-PERSON HOLY COMMUNION

  • Please contact Pastor Amy amyzlarson@gmail.com in advance if you plan to come.
  • A table will be set up outdoors at the west entrance, adjacent to the parking lot.
  • Note: If you wish to receive communion at another time, contact Pastor Amy by email or call the church office, 563-382-3963, to make arrangements.
