WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7, 7:00 p.m. – SPECIAL GOOD SHEPHERD WORSHIP SERVICE IN THE HOSPITAL CHAPEL ON MAYO’S ST. MARYS CAMPUS, ROCHESTER – Nathan Larson invites us to worship in community with him using the liturgy he loves, Ben Larson’s Behold, I Make All Things New. Brooke Joyce and Pastor Mike Blair will lead worship; Jonathon Struve will serve as cantor; Holy Communion will be served. The Chapel is on the first floor of the Domitilla Building which is on the east side of the St. Marys Campus, 2nd Street, SW. Good Shepherd featured in the Living Lutheran, August 2019

Check out the August issue of the Living Lutheran magazine which features Good Shepherd in this article.

The article, entitled “One Congregation, Six Future Ministers,” describes six members pursuing rostered ministry.  Daniel Grainger, Menzi Nkambule, Amalia Vagts, Joseph Tiegen and Nathan Wicks, who graduated this year, are the seminarians while Angie Sadler is a deaconess candidate.  Robert C. Blezard, editor of Living Lutheran’s study guides and assistant to the bishop of the Lower Susquehanna Synod, interviewed a number of people who commented for the article.

He states: … Good Shepherd has the perfect conditions for raising up faith leaders: a partnership with an ELCA College ministry, robust connections to the wider church, visionary pastoral leadership, and a congregational ethos that stresses an open door and an open hand.
