Rev. Ronald David Keesey-Berg, age 89, of Madison, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was born on Sept. 13, 1932, in Casper, Wyo., to Rev. Elmer Melchior and Gunda Bertina (Stavee) Berg. Rev. Keesey-Berg was pastor of Good Shepherd from 1965-1974 and recently made a visit to the congregation on May 8, 2022.
Dave is survived by his wife, Sonja; his children, Greg (Kathy), Steve (Scott), Randi (Matthew) Spencer-Berg and Nathan; stepchildren, Laura Baade and Debra (Jeff) Garde; his grandchildren, Aidan (Marie) Spencer-Sauze, Anna Spencer, Kaj Spencer, and Henry Nichols; step-grandchildren, Diana (Matt) Bremmer, Stephanie (AJ) Baade, Allison (Jesse) Greig, Gavin (Savannah) Baade, and Michael (Jillian) Garde; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Father Paul Berg; and his first wife, Beverly.
A memorial service for Pastor David Keesey-Berg will be held at the Holy Wisdom Monastery, 4200 Co Highway M, Middleton, Wisconsin, on Sunday, August 28. Visitation is from 2-4 with services at 4pm followed by dinner. People are invited to come early and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful grounds.
