6:15 pm – Food and Faith – Simple Supper provided; intergenerational conversations

8:00 pm – Band Rehearsal

Sunday, September 13
9:30 am – Worship Service with Holy Communion and Installation of Pastor Amy Larson; reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.  Annual Welcome Friends and Neighbors Picnic will be held in the backyard, 5:00-6:30 pm.

Welcoming Children to Worship

A note from Pastor Amy: While writing a bulletin announcement welcoming children in worship I came across this beautiful blog post. It affirms how very hard it is on parents to bring children to worship (I know- during summers and breaks at Luther I spent more time in the pews with my kids then most pastors!). It also lifts up how very much the church needs the noise and disruptions of all of God’s children to be a whole body. I’m praying that the parents and grandparents who worship at Good Shepherd will feel supported in the important work of bringing kids to worship.

September Schedule For KWLC Broadcasts
Good Shepherd’s Sunday morning worship services will be broadcast twice in September – Sunday, September 6 and Sunday, September 27.

Please note:  The broadcast of our services will be tape-delayed and begin at approximately 11:00 am, after the broadcast of the Luther Congregation service.

Fall Worship Schedule Announced

Sunday, August 30, 9:30 am – Worship services with weekly Holy Communion will switch to using the Gospel Liturgy, Evangelical Lutheran Worship’s Communion Setting 6.

Wednesdays in September, 5:30 pm – Evening Vespers with Holy Communion using the Holden Evening Prayer liturgy.

Following Vespers, 6:15 pm – Food and Faith – a simple meal and intergenerational conversation about faith, scripture and life. Supper will be provided; a free will donation will be collected.
