Stewardship Appeal 2025

MANY VOICES, ONE SONG

Love, Renewal, and Generosity

Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.  Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.  Colossians 3.

When first-timers and visitors attend worship at Good Shepherd, they are often inspired by how we sing together.  Hearing folks of every different kind of voice singing boldly and faithfully as one, visitors say they feel swept up in the spirit of the worship.  Surely, this is the Holy Spirit at work in our midst.

This year, Good Shepherd has a special opportunity as God leads us in our annual stewardship campaign.  As we call a new settled pastor and prepare for transition and growth, let’s remind ourselves of the value of our congregation and the blessing it is in our lives and in the world around us.  Like members of a choir, we each contribute to this impact, and the music wouldn’t be the same without each of us.  With God’s leading, we build toward something bigger than all of us, and bear witness to God’s abundant grace and love.

THANK YOU for all you do to make Good Shepherd possible.  Your voice and presence matter.  With your help we share God’s love with children and youth, families and seniors, reducing social isolation and fear.  We share God’s love in stewarding God’s creation and working for justice.  We share our abundant gifts with the broader community and the church.  And this year we have the special opportunity to sustain all that and build toward our future growth together.

As exemplified by our diverse Music Ministry, our “song” together comes from a place of Love, Renewal, and Generosity.

LOVE: Knowing that we are loved, we are inspired to love others

RENEWAL: God sustains us as we are called into what is next.

GENEROSITY: Acknowledging that all good gifts from God, we respond in joyfully sharing our time, money, and talents.

Your contribution will enable our congregation to:

  • Sustain the ongoing mission of this congregation, including our music ministry, our youth program, our hospitality and social engagement, our Flocks, our 27% contributions to the broader community and our carbon-neutral footprint
  • Prepare ourselves for our next pastor and our future ministry together.
  • Increase our giving by 5% increase to cover salaries and transition cost

PLEASE PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER GROWING YOUR GIFT TO GOOD SHEPHERD.  Now is a key moment in the history of Good Shepherd.  The “Many Voices, One Song” campaign addresses our present and our future together.  Please help Good Shepherd live out God’s call and lift up that call who we are and what we believe in —  to ourselves, to new members, to the community, and to our next new pastor. Your contribution makes all this possible.  THANK YOU for your response of gratitude, generosity, and love!

There will be informational Temple Talks and Bulletin Inserts on Sundays October 13, 20, and 27th. The Congregation will receive a brochure and intent form via mail by the end of October, and on Sunday, November 3rd we will have “Stewardship Sunday” and bring our statements of intent forward during worship.
